The Next Chapter
February is well amongst us already! Hopefully we have all dusted off a few feathers and everyone has hit the ground running in 2020. Feedback we are getting from our customers is that there a lot of exciting projects to get their teeth sunk into already.
We discovered in the tail end of 2019 that the UK pub market was on the rise for the first time in 10 years with an increase in public houses in the UK as opposed to a decline as we were seeing year on year.
Wetherspoons are planning to create 10,000 new jobs in the UK over the next 4 years which would point towards more public houses and hotels being opened. Also, pub and brewer chain Greene King was bought by Hong Kong operator CKA.
Will we see the Chinese pump investment into refurbishments of the pubs? It is certainly a possibility! Oxford Hardware continues to offer their services in supplying you the right products for these and all other fit outs you have coming up.
